Where do I get on the Darwin Airport Shuttle?

At Darwin Airport you will find our booking desk located near the baggage carousels in the arrival hall.

How do I get to and from my hotel?

Darwin Airport Shuttle can drop you off, and pick you up at the city accommodation of your choice. Simply mention your location when you book.

Which Darwin Airport Shuttle do I need to catch to get to Darwin Airport on time?

Excluding hotel pickup times, Darwin Airport Shuttle takes 15 minutes from the city to the airport.

Allow 15 - 45 minutes (depending on each passengers accommodation location) between hotel pickup time and arrival at Darwin Airport.

Allow enough time at Darwin Airport to meet your airline's check in requirements (Darwin Airport minimum requirements are 1 hour for Domestic and 2 hours for International).

 The shuttle service is scheduled to operate in conjunction with all flights.  Simply provide your flight departure details when booking and we will provide the pick up time, at your accommodation, for the service scheduled for your flight.

Pick up on earlier services is also available.  Please let our staff know when booking if you prefer an earlier arrival time at the airport.

What times does the Darwin Airport Shuttle depart?

Our services are scheduled to depart Darwin Airport once all baggage is made available and collected by passengers arriving on your flight.  Departure is within approximately 10-15 minutes of domestic flights arriving, and as passengers clear customs for international flights.

Shuttle services depart the city in conjunction with all domestic and international flight departures.  Services are scheduled to arrive at the airport 1 hour before domestic and 2 hours before international flight departures. 

Does the Darwin Airport Shuttle operate on other routes such as Palmerston, Northern Suburbs & other residential area's?

Darwin Airport Shuttle does not operate a scheduled service on any other route except to or from Darwin City. Groups of 6 or more people can be picked up from an arranged location, by pre-booking a private bus.

Darwin Airport Shuttle fares are the best value Darwin Airport to Darwin city airport transfers.

Children 4 years and under are FREE of charge

Children between 5 and 12 years are $8 one way, or $15 return.

Do I need to book the Darwin Airport Shuttle?

Reservations or bookings are not required for Airport to City fares; but are essential for City to Airport fares. You can either pay when you are picked up or purchase and print your tickets 48 hours in advance online now.

We recommend you book in advance to streamline your checkin and guarantee you are seated on the earliest available bus.

Where do I buy tickets

You can purchase and print your tickets on-line now using the form on the left of this page. Darwin Airport Shuttle also sells tickets from office at our city terminal<<View Map>> and at Darwin Airport (located next to the baggage carousels).

Tickets are also available from Tourism Top End and selected accommodation. 

Can I pay by eftpos or credit card?

Can I change my booking schedule at any time?

Yes, Darwin Airport Shuttle tickets are open ended and can be used at any time providing you notify us of your intention to amend a scheduled booking within two hours of your scheduled transfer.

Can I bring cats, dogs or bikes on Darwin Airport Shuttle?

Pets, excluding guide dogs, are not permitted onboard the Darwin Airport Shuttle.

Bikes can be transported if dismantled and secured in a box.

How much luggage can I take onboard the Darwin Airport Shuttle?

All Darwin Airport Shuttle vehicles are equipped with on-board luggage storage outside the cabin or enclosed luggage trailers for passenger safety and comfort. Darwin Airport Shuttle's baggage allowances are the same as your airlines standard limits. If you have special luggage requirements please notify us in advance.  Excess baggage will be carried on the basis of space availability.  Significant excess baggage may incur additional charges.
